Aunt Mary has a very special rosebush in her garden – she tells Douglas part of him can be found inside it, along with part of his dad, uncle and grandpa – and other family members. She tells him the story of his dad and brother growing up and going to war, from which his uncle did not return. Her story is of the love down the generations and the memories that people carry with them.
