Cecilia is very clever but there’s one thing she can’t do: stop wetting the bed. One night she is visited by a mermaid and they run away to the sea together. They have a lovely time dancing and playing with the sea creatures. The mermaid explains that her bed is always wet and it doesn’t worry her at all. They wave goodbye. When Cecillia wakes up in her bed, her coat and hat are soaking wet but her bed is nice and dry.
