Freddy the Mouse meets Nutmeg, a squirrel who is severely allergic to nuts. Even touching a nut could cause Nutmeg to have an allergic reaction. When the friends visit the Fairy Market, Nutmeg tries a tempting sweet. She discovers too late that the sweet contains nuts, and she begins to feel unwell. The Fairy Doctor is called and injects some special medicine into Nutmeg’s leg, which makes her feel better straight away. The doctor reminds her that she must carry her special medicine with her at all times.

Worth noting: The book's 'Peppa Pig'-style illustrations should appeal to children. The book conveys an important fact clearly: it reminds children with allergies that they should not eat other people's food without checking with a parent first.
