Gary and Ray

Author: Sarah Adams
Illustrator:
Publisher: Frances Lincoln Children's Books

Gary the Gorilla is lonely as all the other jungle animals find him rather large and intimidating. Then one day, a tiny hummingbird called Ray decides to take a chance and approach the lonely gorilla. The two become firm friends, but Gary worries that because Ray has a family, he won’t need to retain his friendship with Gary. Initially Gary’s fears seem to be justified when Ray goes missing for several days, but when he returns he brings a big surprise with him for his friend – a lady gorilla called Susan.
