Gently introducing the concept of using a potty. Reassuring children that accidents are nothing to be ashamed of.
The Little Princess decides that “Nappies are YUUECH!” and wants to find something better. The Queen tells her that “The potty’s the place”. At first, the Little Princess is not convinced and throws a tantrum. The illustrations show comical scenes such as the Princess running red-faced towards her potty, balancing it on her head, and toppling from it. Slowly she gets used to it and learns to love her potty. Everybody tells her how clever she is for using it. One day she is playing on the castle roof when she realises she needs her potty. The entire household frantically dash about to locate it, and the maid dashes up to the roof to deliver it…a little too late. The final illustration shows the Little Princess standing rather bashfully in a puddle.
