The two young children in this simple book are shown helping to sort out items for recycling. The family recycle their old batteries, compost vegetable peelings, buy from charity shops and swap old clothes with others. On a visit to the supermarket, the children are encouraged to only use a plastic bag if they really need to. They plant seeds to grow vegetables, make compost and use a rain water butt. They notice solar panels on a roof and borrow books from the library, and the final page shows them making strawberry jam.

Things we liked:
The bright, bold illustrations and the minimal text work well to communicate the 'Reduce Re-Use Recycle' message to the very young.
